We are happy to provide services to support behavioral functioning!
Erin Nowak is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and is able to consult with families, schools, and others to target improving any behavior concerns.
Services available to parents and families include:
- Parent training regarding implementing in home behavior management issues
- Education about behavior change
- Development of visuals, incentive programs, etc.
- Preference assessments for behavioral reinforcers
- Assistance with navigating factors contributing to behavioral challenges
- Coaching regarding implementing behavioral strategies in settings other than home (daycare, schools, public settings, etc.).
- These services are generally available during daytime hours, but there is flexibility regarding the setting (in home, in office, telehealth)
- This behavioral counseling service may be billable to your health insurance
Services available to schools include but are not limited to:
- Professional development regarding remediation of disruptive behaviors in the classroom
- Trainings for larger groups of staff, specified departments or teams
- Creation of staff training materials, handbooks, or other resources
- Consultation regarding behavioral functioning and data collection (Tier 1, 2, or 3)
- Teachers, departments or teams; transportation staff
- Parents - educating and assisting parents regarding data collection and implementing interventions in the home environment
- Create and/or edit behavior data collection tools and systems
- Conduct behavioral observations for specific students, small groups or classrooms
- Complete Functional Behavior Analysis, and develop Behavior Intervention Plans
- Create and/or edit IEP goals tied directly to BIPs
- Attend IEP meetings to consult or present reports and/or plans
- Assist with developing school attendance monitoring and interventions, including school refusal behaviors
- Certified CPI trainer in crisis intervention, classroom culture
*Erin is currently accepting daytime clients and consultations via telehealth, in person in our Lockport office, or in home or other settings within approximately 10 miles of Lockport*
